Attorney David E. Swanson started his legal career in 1991 as an Orange County Public Defender, gaining a reputation for trying cases and securing not guilty verdicts. In 1998, he founded his own private criminal defense practice. He is also recognized as a Certified Specialist in Criminal Law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. That certification was achieved after successfully representing clients in hundreds of cases, securing not guilty verdicts in the many of his jury trials, and handling appeals and writs throughout his career.
